About The ArtistI was born in Guernsey in the Channel Islands and I now live in London with five crazy cats and a human. I love painting landscapes, cats, dogs and other animals but a particular love of cats has led to me to specialising in feline portraiture. I work mainly in oils and acrylics on fine grained canvas and board. In 2004 I became a full member of SOFA, the Society Of Feline Artists and I exhibit with them every year in London. I paint full time and I exhibit and sell my paintings at exhibitions, online and to private clients. Contemporary Cat ArtI have a range of original paintings and prints for sale on my web sites. The Painted Cat has all the cats, The Painted Dog has all the dogs, and Denise Laurent has a selection of dogs and cats as well as wildlife paintings my other animal work. People often ask if I can work from photos and the answer is yes I can. I get commissions from many different countries so working from photographs plays quite a large part in the process. I can come and take photos as reference for the painting or you can send me photos to work from. Photos can be emailed to me and I’ll email you with sketches, ideas and work in progress photos so you can watch your painting grow.
